Staying here was the highlight of the trip, partly because of the stunning accommodation, well appointed rooms and spacious communal living space upstairs, but mainly because of Debbie and her wonderful team, who manages the property and is on site 24/7 - she did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were both very sad to be leaving because she made our stay the highlight of our trip. Thank you for all your wonderful tips and advice, for keeping us safe and for looking after us so well. We really miss you and we hope to come back and stay in the future.

We had an amazing holiday in South Africa mostly due to the help from Debbie who manages this beautiful Guest House. Nothing was too much trouble to help us get the best out of our trip. The rooms are fabulous, clean and comfortable as is the patio and pool area. It's in a great spot if like us you don't want to stay on the V&A waterfront. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

You sometimes read reviews with a bit of doubt, however this place is different. Everything we have read was an understatement. The Chocolate Box was as sweet as its name suggests. We were spoilt beyond our wildest dreams. The staff are attentive and pay attentions to the small details that make all the difference. The location of the Chocolate Box on the slopes above Gordons Bay gives you a feeling of floating over the area. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed with spacious common areas. We had a choice of venues for our breakfasts. Talking about breakfast, the menu is delicious, every dish needs savoring, so book a long stay to work you way through the entire menu. The review will not be complete without mentioning Olaf and Brad, they are excellent hosts, nothing was to much for them. They know the area well and were a valued source of information regarding wineries and other attractions. We will be returning in the future, for sure!!!! I just cannot recommend this place enough, even if you want to be in Cape Town, which is 40 minutes down the freeway. Treat yourself and stay at the Chocolate Box.

The view is breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and the quality of everything is exceptional, This is a true 5 star experience and our hostes is one amazing human with the soul of an angel. She went out if her way to bless us with kindness and hospitality. Thank you for an excellent overnight at Chocolate box Guesthouse !
