A friend visiting from Australia and I had a quick lunch here today. Very good service, the host and waitress looks loads of pics as we haven't seen each other for 6 years. Booking I think Is a good idea, as it was quite full. Beautiful surroundings, i had the caeser salad, was delicious. Her lamb curry was a bit dry, but it tasted good. We shared a bottle of veuve champagne, that was the highlight.

On 16 May 2026, my guest & I ordered the Warm bowl Sesame salmon for lunch. My guest’s salmon was edible but mine was served with a thick grey bloodline which has a very strong fishy and metallic taste that overwhelmed the dish. I would have expected the fish – especially at the price point of R215 - to have been professionally trimmed and not have to do the work of cleaning it at the table! Given The Vineyard’s normally high culinary standards I emailed them on 17 May to bring this food prep issue to their attention so it could can be addressed with their kitchen team. Still waiting for a response!

Magnificent dining experience. Absolutely beautiful restaurant to celebrate special occasions. The service was excellent, and our waitress was attentive and always smiling. The food is beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. We celebrated my sister in law's birthday and were treated like princesses.. They serve incredible deserts, too, and have a stunning selection of world class cocktails.

Been coming here 15 years +, the garden setting is beautiful and it’s a wonderful place to dine. Service can be on the slow side but fine. Recently they have changed their menu and the firm favourites are out and everything feels like they’re trying to hard, when you just want a decent lunch The prized hake and chips which is delicious is now only allowed for children. They have it but won’t serve to adults! Bring back the battered fish and chips and you’d have a lot more customers! Or even add a surcharge to the kids one!
