What a great restaurant! I was there last year and I ordered this dish and it was phenomenal! I’m planning to visit it again and I hope I’ll have the same experience.

Great experience at Moyo Kirstenbosch! The service was exceptional—our waiter was incredibly friendly, went above and beyond, and even joked along with us. She was honestly the best waiter I’ve had to date. The live piano music added a beautiful touch to the atmosphere. As for the food, the portions were large and the quality was excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had olives and samosas. Service was a bit slow. Samosa tasted nice, but were cold in the middle, they obviously did not use a probe to check the temperature; which could lead to food poisoning. Management should look into that !

I was hesitant to share my experience, but after reading through the Google reviews following our visit, I felt my feedback was valid. 06/04/2026 We were warmly welcomed and seated near the fire. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, and there were several waiters standing around chatting. I wasn’t very hungry, so I planned to share a starter and nibble from my husband’s meal. We ordered the samosas, which were overpriced for just two pieces. They were extremely oily, although the beef filling was flavourful. My little one ordered mac and cheese, which was disappointing, dry penne with melted cheese and no white sauce at all. When I asked for more sauce, they simply added more cheese and mixed it. Our waiter didn’t seem to know what white sauce was when I asked. My husband ordered the T-bone steak with fries and had to wait about 10 minutes before flagging someone down for cutlery. While eating, he found a long hair on his steak. When we showed the waiter, there was no apology she simply asked if he wanted another one. He declined as his appetite was gone. She seemed annoyed and walked away. The manager, Lucas, was called over and he handled the situation well he was polite and apologetic. Unfortunately, our waiter, Jacqueline, showed no interest in assisting us further after that. She disappeared for most of the time, didn’t check on us, and didn’t offer a takeaway box for the uneaten mac and cheese. We were suddenly given the bill without requesting it, and there was no friendliness or engagement from her at all. I paid the bill without leaving a tip something I’ve honestly never done before but her attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing her, as though we were being served for free and the issue was somehow our fault. I asked to speak to the manager again and explained that while I could have moved past the issue with the hair, the service and attitude from our waiter were unacceptable. This is my honest review, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning largely due to the poor service we received. 0/10 🌟
