Very wet and rainy day in Cape Town but the area inside around the fire was very cozy. We had the Oysters and corn bread as starters. The corn bread was fresh and hot and butter melted straight away. For main meals we had the fish & chips, fish & rice and third meal was fish & veggies. Food was delicious and fresh. Ons Huisie never disappoints.

Overall, a great location. Every time we trave to cape town we end up there , we make sure to stop here and enjoy the beautiful sunset—it’s definitely one of the highlights is great for family . The food is not bad and the drinks are good as well. What makes this place even better is the relaxed atmosphere. There’s also a kids’ play area right next to the restaurant, and the sea is just about 20 metres away, which makes it a lovely spot for families. A really nice place to visit and unwind

Right on the beach, so nice view. Can get very hot under the umbrellas you can sit inside. Service is ok including the food. I had Babotie which had no flavor and over heated from the microwave. Great for families as it has a play area for the kids. We tried breakfast the 2nd visit, was better but our coffees needed to be reheated, 2nd cup was nice and hot. So service once again ok not great.

Ons huise has what very few places can offer, great service, good food, a relaxed atmosphere and an incredible view (particularly at sunset). We had a super friendly waitress who made us feel right at home and the food platter to share was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
