My wife and I had an excellent time doing something different than just going out to dinner. We picked up our pack from Sally and found a nice spot to unpack. Everything was organized and packed perfectly with a list of items listed on the exterior. Not only was the food good (I got Thai Fish Curry), but there was waaay too much to finish so we brought the rest home for dinner. I highly recommend this experience. -Ben & Ker

What a great find Protea Picnics was. We had 2 attempts at our picnic today due to Baboons interrupting the first one. We finally got a second attempt a few hrs later on Chapman Peak Drive. Photos from both locations and our picnic still looking amazing come mid afternoon. All I can say is the Food was exceptional. Sally’s service and kindness also exceptional.

My husband and I recently got to enjoy a picnic courtesy of Protea Picnics and wow – what an amazing experience! Everything from the beautiful packaging to the delicious food was just perfect. It was a beautiful day, so we headed to the beach, but I reckon these picnics would also be lovely in front of a roaring fire in winter! There are five menus and each person gets to choose one item from each menu: Dips, pâté and homemade wholewheat bread; Quiches and pastries; Salads; Protein; and Something sweet. Our favourites? The white bean skordalia dip (vegan); quiche Lorraine; bulgar wheat with roasted portabellini mushrooms, baby spinach, walnuts and tahini dressing (vegan); Asian noodle salad (vegan); fish Thai curry; and champagne cupcake with strawberry cream frosting. Yum! Thanks for the delicious picnic, Sally – we could tell that it was made with love!

We had a big group order for 12 and had a wonderful experience with Protea Picnics! Sally was friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. You can tell so much care and attention to detail went into each order, which is no easy feat for such a big order. Definitely recommend!
