I was supposed to stay one night, ended up staying three. Staff are lovely. Beds are comfy. Blackout curtains and bath was a bonus. Reception had no issue ordering us food and coffee from Fox and Bagel and and delivering to our door. If you're looking to just chill and rest, this is the perfect spot.

Ruslamere is based in Durbanville which is a lovely location, close to shopping malls and loads of restaurants. The venue itself is beautiful, with a few things that need a bit of work. More lighting is needed around the venue, especially at the back building as it is very dark in the evening. Only one plug worked in my room that has approx 8-10 plugs. The television kept on reloading, so there was only one channel and you could only switch on the television manually as the remote did not work. The room and bathroom were spotless and really clean, it is just the carpets that need deep cleaning.

As a frequent traveller this has been the best surprise experience in ages. So yourself a favour and book the self catering unit. Out of this world value for money. Thanks guys!

This place doesn't desrve to even be on a map.Brought overseas guests here. After they were informed that the guests were arriving around 23h30 this evening. Got to the entranceat exactly 23h30 no security staff at the gate or in the security hut. Pressed the intercom button, it rang and rang for 5 minutes, no answer. Pressed it again, no answer, i then hooted and someone decided to open the gate. Drove through, got to reception, NOBODY home, walked around the entire premises, couldnt find a single staff member. The guests then asked me to find another hotel nearby. I phoned around, and found Protea Tygervallei, and booked them a room. Ten times better service and at least 10 times better hospitality. I will NEVER recommend Ruslamere to anyone. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this place. Useless business.
