When i first set foot at this place i was amazed!! Our Sunday school held our year end function, on two separate dates, at El Lions, and it was amazing to say the least. Where do you start - the scenery, professionalism of the staff, the cleanness and not the mention the well taken care off large outdoor area. The kids took the advantage of running and playing without any safety issues. At the end we all had a great days fun!!! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back!! Keep up the great work El Lions Team!!

Conference centre set in the Cape woodlands near Atlantis. As we drove up the road, through a tunnel formed by majestic saligna trees, we easily found El Lions on the right hand side of Saxonwold Rd. Peacocks welcomed us with a spectacular display and we parked adjacent to huge trees at a very large khoi pond. The lapa is hand-built by owner Mario Baragona and speaks of great craftsmanship. There are tables to seat quite a few people, a central fireplace and a large counter from where food and cocktails can be served. Down below are a number of horse stables craftily converted into bedrooms, with his and hers bathrooms, all executed in locally harvested woord from renewable sources. There also is a shared kitchen. An amphitheatre is set adjacent to the lapa and various places to braai. Also, cottages for self-catering, with double bed, bathroom with basin, toilet &'shower as well as a kitchenette with sofa and outdoor seating. Finally, a two bedroom chalet with a large kitchen, lounge and that can easily be rented as two separate units as there is a second kitchen and bathroom. This is wheelchair friendly as well. Under the same roof, lovely conference centre with lovely woodland views. There also is an in-house swimming pool with pool table and other amenities. El Lion is open to groups only.
