The Lawn above Clifton is a fantastic spot for a relaxed afternoon with incredible views. The atmosphere is super chill, and the burger was honestly huge and really tasty. It’s also a big plus that they have a dedicated play area for kids, making it a great choice for families.

Service: The greeter accommodated us even though we couldn't make an online reservation and she explained how it will work with us being seated on the reserved space. Atmosphere: absolutely amazing with some breathtaking views. Food: the food was bad, I'll start from the cheese burger, it was dry, the beef patty was hard to chew on, secondl ; cheesecake was old and tasted horrible, the attached photo is exactly what we sent back because my partner and I couldn't stand the taste, bao buns: were okayish the steamed bun was dry and the taste of the chicken filling was overpowered by the amount of mayo in it, Salmon: Salmon was cooked nicely and the pineapple salad that it comes with blends the flavors perfectly. Drinks were okay. It's a beautiful place, with affordable prices, I believe that paying attention to the quality of food that is being served to customers can make a huge difference.

My family and I decided to have lunch at The Lawns and I must say the aesthetic was amazing! I love the nature and greenery around us. Our waiter was so kind and hands on! I forgot his name but very sweet boy. The food wasn’t that great. I know restaurants that are waaaay cheaper than this restaurant, that sells more succulent beef burgers. The beef was quite dry and chewy. The cocktails were a 10/10! My cousins also commented that the food wasn’t that great and they can do better. Overall, the service and the atmosphere made up for the food!

The Lawns at The Roundhouse is such a beautiful spot to relax and take in the incredible views. The atmosphere was perfect—laid-back, scenic, and a wonderful place to spend an afternoon with friends. Great food, delicious drinks, and one of the best settings in Cape Town. Whether you’re there to unwind, watch the sunset, or enjoy the surroundings, it’s an experience not to be missed. We’ll definitely be back!
