We recently hosted a 60th birthday celebration at Cassia restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, accommodating and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, making everything stress-free. The setup was beautifully done. We were allowed to bring small table decor though the table was already set up beautifully. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all our guests. The set menu prices are affordable. I would recommend this venue to anyone hosting a gathering. Thank you to Cassia for helping make such a special occasion memorable!

If you’re a chef yourself and have run a restaurant, then you know how important the quality of ingredients is. I’m still sitting in the restaurant at the Nitida Winery in Duranville, Western Cape. It’s incredible that, on a completely rainy April day, we decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat. What we got was a first-class lunch. Perfect service from a sophisticated waiter, accompanied by a superb Merlot. All in all, a genuine five-star experience. With a Swiss chef, you simply can’t talk about the price. But thank goodness, who here would ever go to Switzerland? I’m always so glad that I’m allowed to live in this country permanently. Simply exceptional.

We celebrated a family member’s birthday brunch at Cassia Restaurant and had a lovely experience. There were seven of us and the larger table was ready and set up when we arrived, which always makes things easier with a group. Our waitress was attentive throughout and kept an eye on the table without hovering. The food was delicious. I had the poached eggs on a bagel, similar to Eggs Benedict, and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. The bagel itself was a bit more bread than I needed, but that is personal preference more than anything. Prices are in line with most restaurants around the Cape Town area. The setting is beautiful with pretty morning views over the lake. If you can, try to sit near the doors that open onto the view. It is a lovely spot, though it can get a little breezy depending on the weather. The interior is stylish and feels quite upmarket, which makes it a great place for a relaxed celebration brunch.

Had a wonderful experience at Cassia. The food was good and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself has a very nice, upmarket feel with a lovely ambience that strikes the right balance between sophisticated and welcoming. ​The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. With its stunning views over the water and the vineyards, it is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner, but the spacious layout also makes it a great choice for a larger group.
