Absolutely beautiful little gem. A must if you’re in the area. So peaceful. Such great facilities. And wonderfully friendly staff!!!!

We stayed here the night before our wedding and used the space for our bridal party to get ready — and it was perfect. From the beautiful old farmhouse to the warm, supportive staff, everything felt calm, cared for, and just a little bit magical. We did miss the sign for the farm on arrival (it’s a little easy to miss!), but Megan, the house manager, was so sweet and helpful, guiding us in with patience and genuine kindness — something that set the tone for the rest of our stay. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, which made it feel extra special and peaceful. The farmhouse is beautifully maintained, full of character and charm, and set in a stunning location that would be ideal for a wedding or, like in our case, a relaxed pre-wedding gathering. The breakfast was wonderful, served in an idyllic setting that made us all pause and breathe — a rare luxury before a big day! What truly stood out, though, was the incredible team. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, calm, and cared for. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely lovely — and we’ll always remember the warm energy they brought to the start of our wedding weekend. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and heartfelt place to celebrate or prepare for something special - or just to get away for a weekend in the country side.

I initially gave the winey one star purely because we drove there on a Monday for wine tasting only to find them closed. Our fault, as we later discovered that most if not all wineries are in fact closed on Mondays. One should check online to be sure of open days and times. We had seen great reviews and so wanted to taste their award winning wines, possibly to add to our collection. So, we returned weeks later on Wednesday perhaps, a little too early (11 am) as the staff informed us that they were going into a staff meeting but are happy to serve us in between. The place although small is quaint with views and lovely garden towards the Manor house. The wines were magnificent. We ordered a pizza which was excellent!! The only disappointment is that we were refused a request to taste their Flagship wine But, we went ahead and bought a case anyway. Highly recommended 👌

Surprising Valley - The EV Lodge was fantastic and the staff were extremely accommodating. It was so nice taking a leisurely drive around the valley and surrounds. We are usually heading or returning from somewhere else along the N2 route. It was so nice taking some time to explore. We hope to return again
