We had an amazing December holiday here with two families. The farm is beautiful and perfect for a group getaway – great braai facilities, friendly farm animals and a lovely dam within walking distance. The host was so welcoming and helpful. It truly felt like the best of both worlds: after relaxing at the beach, we could come back and enjoy peaceful time on the farm. Ideal for family gatherings or a friends’ break close to Gourits Beach.

Interior is nice , but the exterior of the venue need some serious attention and lots of TLC. Urgent .

We booked directly at Gouritz Valley due to a wedding that was at their venue. You pay R1 500-00 per night per couple, today I see it advertised for R900.00 on other sites. Maybe different rate for different days. However. the dissatisfaction with the accommodation was a common topic of conversation for the evening between the guests. It is difficult to justify the rate if you just get a room with no soaps, towels, coffee/tea. No 2-point plug for bedside light, only fitted sheet on bed and no top sheet. Mattresses is past time of using, pillows are tired. Even with self-catering you expect a host of a guesthouse to have some sense of hospitality. Clearly the owners mis-use the fact that guests prefer staying over at the venue when there is a function. The room itself is very basic (don't know why tuna tins are hanging on ceiling and wall) the stoep was so dirty that it is unusable. It will be better to stay at a guesthouse in Gouritz or even neighbouring town. We decided to rather drive back the night after the wedding than staying there. Unfortunately I can not recommend Gouritz Valley accommodation.

This venue is beautiful, but owner made for a very unpleasant experience for myself my wife as well as our guests. We had a weekend wedding and guest was staying on the farm, some places were nice whereas others wasn't finished as promised! Owner was rude to some of our guests that was very unprofessional. Although we loved the venue's setting the owner was making it very unpleasant for us and the guest!

Ons kyk terug op 'n sprokiesmooi troue, waar ek glo (die meeste van) Karlien se drome waar geword het. Ons was baie dankbaar dat die weer saamgespeel het, want die KERK onder die bome was DIE spesiale iets wat ons harte van die begin af gesteel het. Dankie ook vir jou baie reelings rondom die gaste se verblyf. EN die laat-nag se uithou tot die paartie uiteindelik klaar was!!!”

“ We attempt to create a very intimate atmosphere and cosy look and feel in the wedding hall by creating seating spaces inside the reception area. We have designed the South wing with a fireplace on the East end with another cosy seating area for the guest. This gives guests the opportunity to socialise with people away from their tables. ”
