King's Grant is situated on the St. Isidor Estate and is surrounded by lush farmlands, dams, bushveld and wetlands. The varying habitats play host to extensive wildlife and birdlife and invite you to explore their diverse beauty. The estate also boasts a number of other historical sites such as the solitary Brickfield, Murchison House (home to Dick King's daughter) and Schreiber's Dam built in the 1940's by Italian Prisoners of War. The original living quarters of the monks and nuns have been stylishly restored and converted into eleven comfortable individually decorated B&B guestrooms, plus two fully equipped self-catering suites, accommodating up to 26 guests. All guestrooms have DStv Bouquet, tea trays, heaters / fans and private patio's that open onto gardens where guests are invited to relax, unwind and catch a glimpse of the past. The King's Room is our luxurious bridal suite. Originally the monk's lounge, this spacious suite is sumptuously decor

From entering the office on day one the staff make you feel like you’re the only person here. Guest are all treated as priority guests no matter who you are. I’ve stayed here long term over a span of 3weeks and my experience has not changed. Staff balance friendliness and professionalism extremely well. The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful. The rooms are cosy and kept neat. The food is amazing every single time. 5 stars cannot accurately describe this place.

Visited this destination as a stopover on the way to the Drakensburg. Absolutely beautiful place with a rich history! The restaurant featured a great selection of food and drinks with lovely views of the gardens. Had such a great experience we decided to stop again on the journey back home to visit the restaurant and donkeys again! Will definitely be returning to stay at the accommodation and get the full tour of the museum and property.

What a magnificent place! A gem of a find! Tranquil, beautiful and so much attention to detail. The service is outstanding - friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food is incredible - from the generous delicious breakfast spread, to a wide range of delicious lunch and dinner options. Fab mountain biking on gravel roads, a magnificent dam for swimming, a spa for great treatments, and the perfect place for quiet reading, a relaxing. Oh - there is even an art cupboard with everything from watercolour, to ceramic painting and clay to work with. Cannot recommend this haven more highly!
