My husband and I loved Rainforest Ridge. Our stay was so comfortable. We loved the slightly wild experience as we love nature and being outdoors. The location is spectacular, stunning views from the ridge over the valley towards the sea and behind towards the mountains. The fynbos and birdlife is beautiful, so birders would have a wonderful time. Rainforest Ridge is so close to Natures Valley so it's a great place to stay if you're looking to explore and walk the stunning trails in the area. The owner and host, Benn, is such a friendly, relaxed guy, who clearly loves his little bit of paradise. He also makes a great breakfast!

Recently had a disappointing experience at Rainforest Ridge Eco Resort. We stayed for 2 days with no hot water or electricity during our stay. They did provide a generator for a few hours each day so we could charge phones and have some lighting, which we appreciated. Breakfast was good, but we were attending a wedding, so not being able to shower with warm water or properly prepare due to the lack of electricity was very frustrating. There were also no battery lights or backup lighting available in the cabin. We understand there have been heavy storms recently, but the lack of a proper backup plan was disappointing and affected our overall experience.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had an amazing time. The views are amazing. The kids loved the swimming pool, hot tub, pool table and feeding the goats. Our hosts were very helpful. This was one of our favorite places to stay in South Africa. Would strongly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay at Rain Forest Ridge Eco Resort. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the accommodation is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is truly unique. The owner welcomed us with such kindness and generosity, making us feel immediately at home. He shared with us the magic of this incredible place, and his warm hospitality made our experience even more special. This is a place filled with beauty, peace, and heart — we couldn’t recommend it more highly!
