We only phoned them after 17h00 and were happy to get a room. We arrived after 19h00 but was welcomed by a very friendly gentleman (sorry I didn't get your name). Parking and security was good, even our trailer fitted behind the gate. Knowing there was a guard on duty put our minds at ease. Rooms are perfect. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Good bed and warm duvet guaranteed a good night's rest and was followed by a lovely shower and soft plush towels to finish off with. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience

I recently visited the beautiful Pink Church in Matjiesfontein and what a delightful piece of history it is! Built in 1896 by James Douglas Logan, the founder of the village, this charming little building originally served as the town’s school and concert hall around the turn of the 20th century. It continued as the local school until the 1960s, before later becoming known as the “Pink Church” because of its distinctive colour and its use for services and ceremonies. Set among the preserved Victorian buildings of this historic Karoo village, the church perfectly captures the old-world atmosphere that makes Matjiesfontein so special. Today it’s a popular wedding and event venue, and it’s easy to see why — the character, simplicity and heritage setting create a truly memorable backdrop. A small building with a big story

Our car broke down near Laingsburg. We called ahead for help to sleep the night with our small dog. Jakob didn't hesitate to help us by giving us a room. Later on he upgraded us to a bigger house with no extra cost. He insisted by saying: "As long as we are happy, he is happy." Jakob Baie dankie my vriend. We stayed here for one night on our way to Cape Town and had a great experience. The room was cozy and comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stopover. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, and the staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Considering the excellent service and amenities, it’s fantastic value for money. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone traveling through the area!
