⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience! Absolutely loved our visit to Boesmanland Plaaskombuis! The food was delicious, hearty, and full of traditional flavour — just like Ouma used to make. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful views and a truly authentic farm-style setting. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a taste of real South African hospitality!

A lot of the food (veg, pap, mussels, meat) was cold. Fresh bread and pea soup was great. Place is much more commercialised than the name implies. Sadly this was a poor experience and we left early.

They held a table for us which was kind and professional. The food was good. They placed us at a table with no lighting whatsoever even though it was lit up everywhere else. We asked for a lamp or "something" and all the manager said was no. For the price per plate, drinks excluded- the least they could do was provide lights for customers.

I give credit & compliments where it's due, generously. Lunch at this establishment was unfortunately not worth the price. YES, you can eat as much as you like, but you can only eat só much.... And the price of cockails are a bit much. There was no great, spectacular or WOW-factor. And a R65 (retail price) bottle of local wine @R220 is a rip-off. It's not peak tourist season, so locals are being ripped-off. The food wasn't tasty and some dishes were cold. Thumbs-up to our waiter. Great service.
