If you are looking for a getaway, peace and quiet Shark Bay is the place. The room we stayed in have an amazing sea view. The layout of the room is perfect, everything placed perfectly, love the space. My highlight of the room will definitely be the sea view , waking up and the first thing you see is crystal blue waters. The staff from booking in to restaurant service is amazing, what a bunch of friendly people. They make you feel at home from the start. The Buffet breakfast is amazing, huge variety from dry porridge to cook porridge, variety of yoghurts to fruits to cold meats, pastries and hot breakfast, everyday was something new on the hot breakfast selection. Our stay was amazing, I will definitely recommend The Shark Bay to my family and friends

– Terrible service, severe hygiene issues, and misleading communication We stayed at the hotel shortly after it opened and everything was fine, so returning to this was such a disappointment. We booked a last-minute one-night getaway in the villas specifically to enjoy the KolKol hot tub, but the entire experience was an absolute letdown from start to finish. Severe Hygiene Issues: The bath towels provided were horrendously dirty, and before even getting into bed, we found hair in the sheets – indicating the linens were not properly laundered or changed after the previous guest. The kitchen extractor hood was also greasy and filthy. Misleading Communication & Extra Fees: We called ahead to ask if the KolKol hot tub could be lit. We were told no due to reserve fire safety regulations, which we completely understood. However, upon check-in, reception sold us firewood for the KolKol without ever disclosing that using it incurred an extra cost or was restricted/unavailable. Selling us wood for an amenity we couldn't properly use is deceptive and poor service. Non-Existent Amenities: The Wi-Fi was completely non-functional throughout our stay. Basic self-catering essentials like salt and pepper were missing, and the complimentary refreshments were terrible. For a property we previously enjoyed, seeing this steep drop in basic cleanliness and transparency is unacceptable. We effectively paid for a getaway where the core feature was unusable and basic hygiene standards were ignored. Completely untrustworthy management and service – would not recommend. It was however accepted and apologised from the team this morning but still left an sour after taste.

We had a matric farewell on Saturday 27June 2026. The service at the restaurant was impeccable. They helped us set up the morning and was at hand for anything we needed. Thank you so much for the excellent service we will defnately visit again. Riaan you and you staff were beyond excellent in service. Elviena we appreciate your effort in sorting out all our requests and attending to us in such a professional,yet caring and loving way The staff and waiters were great and very helpful through the whole experience. SO GOOD THAT FOOD AND DESERT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! I would definitely recommend those lime milkshakes and the food was 25-30 minutes BUT they did explain they they were short of staff (3 chefs were sick/didnt come) and there was a huge table who ordered before us but they handed it great and gave us some complimentary drinks and gave a lovely apology I would definitely recommend for a diner or even a drink in the middle of the day. I did only come to the restaurant and not the hotel, and the pricing was bad in a good way that food should have costed more it was so cheap AMZING value!
