We had a wonderful stay at this lodge and were thoroughly impressed by the unique experience it offered. The location of this lodge is simply amazing. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the geography of the drives—being able to drive through the river bed was an incredibly special experience. The restaurant and pool area is absolutely beautiful. The staff were professional and welcoming, ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. Our guide was good and very knowledgeable, helping us spot plenty of wildlife and ensuring we had successful sightings during every drive. Would definitely return!

Stayed in April 2026, it’s a wonderful authentic lodge with great food, extensive drinks list and experienced knowledgeable rangers to guide you on the twice-daily 3 hour drives. The lodge rooms are very private with many amenities including plunge pools, covered day bed (sala) overlooking the river, outdoor bath and shower and inside double shower. The staff cannot do enough for you. The best bit is that it’s in a private 8000 hectare concession so you have so many options for drives rather than just sticking to the publicly accessible roads in the Kruger. We were overwhelmed by the variety of big game, birds and rare sightings of wild dogs and would return at the drop of a hat. A superb 4 nights was enjoyed by the 4 of us.

We had the most wonderful safari experience at Jock Lodge. It truly exceeded all expectations and was the perfect introduction to our first safari. A huge highlight was our guide, Mayneth, who was exceptional. His knowledge of the wildlife and environment was incredibly impressive, and he had a real ability to understand what each person in the group was hoping to see. He went out of his way to deliver, and thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five which is something we’ll never forget. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious, private, and thoughtfully designed, making it a very relaxing place to unwind between game drives. The food was also a standout consistently delicious with a great variety, making every meal something to look forward to. Overall, it was a truly special experience, and we feel so lucky to have had our first safari at Jock Lodge. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Jock Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park is a truly beautiful and memorable retreat. Nestled in the southern part of the park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers, the lodge blends colonial charm inspired by the classic Jock of the Bushveld tale with luxurious thatched suites, private plunge pools, and stunning riverbed views that make wildlife sightings feel effortless and immersive. The setting is breathtaking—lush vegetation, serene landscapes, and excellent Big Five game viewing in a private concession area. What truly stands out, however, is the exceptional staff. They go out of their way to ensure every guest is happy and comfortable, from personalized attention during game drives to thoughtful touches throughout the stay. Their warmth, knowledge, and dedication create a welcoming atmosphere that elevates the entire experience. If you're seeking an authentic, high-end safari with top-notch hospitality in one of Kruger's most historic and scenic spots, Jock Safari Lodge delivers beautifully. Highly recommended!
