If I could rate this place 0 stars I would do it. *We made a booking for a year-end function to start at 18h00 for 18h30. Send our menu earlier, because we didn't want to wait for our food after the formalities. We were a large group after all. On arrival there were 2 waitresses of which none could handle a crowd. *The waitress didn't ask if we wanted to order drinks. *We had to ask for a few jugs of water *The glasses were not enough for the water, we had to share *Our food was served at almost 20h15 just to find out that the kitchen staff forgot to prepare one of our member's food. She received her food at 21h00 *We couldn't order dessert, because the kitchen was closed. *There was only ice-cream for a few milkshakes *After a long wait to get our invoices, the printer couldn't print any so we had to plus &minus at the till. *Service fee for who? For what? *Food was okay, but the burger buns were not fresh I wouldn't recommend this place to big crowds of people. Hamlet Country Lodge cannot handle the volume. This place should rather stick to serving 1-4 people at a table because they will receive better service. The whole evening turned out to be a waiting event.This was one of the worst eating-out experiences we had in a long time. Never again!

From making that first call to booking out, friendly service from Michael, and all the staff, as well as the barman Aiden. Thank you all. The patrons were also very friendly and treated us as if we had known each other for ages. The Pizza for supper was amazing. The breakfast was outstanding, compliments to the chef, with the service from Ashley, Thank you again. You will see us again. We will definitely tell others to visit the Hamlet Lodge. Extremely Disappointing Stay. Unsafe, Unhygienic, and Misrepresented I would not recommend The Hamlet Country Lodge (Prince Hamlet) to anyone. This establishment is unsafe, unclean, and completely misrepresented online. I paid for two people. Due to the unacceptable conditions, only one person ended up staying. I had to swap out my own accommodation to ensure my guest, Dr. Bailey, had somewhere halfway decent to sleep. The room was booked as a queen bed, but we were given a double bed, with only one worn-out towel provided. The bedding had visible stains. The headboard and furniture were filthy and outdated. The shower corners were grimy. To make things worse, I had to fumigate the bed with Doom due to the poor level of cleanliness. It was the only way I felt safe to let someone sleep on it. Despite advertising safe accommodation, the back entrance was left open, allowing uncontrolled access to the property. At 10 p.m., a guest entered and started playing the piano loudly, disturbing the peace with no regard for others. The passage carpets are filthy. This is a serious concern for anyone with sinus or dust sensitivities. Shockingly, we saw a guest lying in bed with the room door to the hallway wide open, completely exposed to passersby. The included breakfast was poor quality and not worth it. The rooms are located next to the parking area and the main road. Noise was constant throughout the night. On arrival, we had to wait outside at a gate that resembles a prison entrance. No one was at reception and the doorbell was broken. Adding to the concern, the room had loose, hanging plug points, which raised serious safety issues. This place does not meet basic hospitality standards and should not be listed on Booking.com or any reputable platform. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unacceptable. It was definitely not worth the money or the stress.

I've enjoyed dinner there at least three times now, and everytime I have been more than satisfied. The food is good-quality, large portions and always fresh and delicious. The service is amazing and they always go out of their way. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
