At the end of a country road, set high in a fynbos valley surrounded by mountains; you will find the idyllic Pat Busch Mountain Reserve.

This private nature reserve is one of the top Robertson Wedding Venues and lies just beyond Robertson in the Cape Winelands, less than 2 hours scenic drive from Cape Town. Pat Busch is a perfect blank canvas, a destination wedding venue with onsite accommodation for up to 100 guests. Wedding couples will enjoy the exclusivity of the reserve and their wedding package includes onsite accommodation, furniture, décor, crockery, cutlery, glassware & more. This Reserve can accommodate up to 100 overnight guests sleeping onsite; more with their bell tent glamping option or in nearby establishments. Weddings of 60 pax and more can be hosted without the need to hire any additional equipment. However, much larger events can also be hosted as there are few limits with this unique natural venue. Couples have the freedom to plan the wedding of their dreams on their blank canvas venue with very few limitations. They will enjoy a wedding weekend with family & friends in a variety of quaint cottages, upmarket Africamps boutique glamping tents, and a large Farmhouse for the extended family. There are numerous ceremony areas from which to choose ranging from the jetty overlooking the mountain dam to a poplar forest with a stream, a poolside setting or a lush meadow with mountain views, or a firm favourite is beneath the ancient oak tree. Any venue or a combination can be used for the ceremony, pre-drinks and the reception. Couples have the freedom to not only arrange a pre-wedding informal ‘Meet & Greet’ the night before the wedding, (which is the perfect opportunity to catch up with family & friends), but also an informal Farewell breakfast the day after the wedding. Absolutely loved our stay at Erika Farmhouse. They had everything you need for a big group of people. The rooms were neat and clean, kitchen fully equipped with everything and the views are amazing! Would highly recommend for a family getaway or for a large group of people. So many things to do, the canoe’s were loads of fun.

We had a wonderful big family gathering at Erika Farmhouse, and it was absolutely perfect for our group. There were plenty of spacious bedrooms, a huge well equipped kitchen where everyone could cook together, and fantastic braai facilities. The fireplaces made for warm, cozy evenings, creating a lovely atmosphere after a day outdoors. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the setting is peaceful, beautiful, and truly unforgettable. Erika Farmhouse was the perfect place for making special family memories. We would definitely stay again.

A Perfect Venue for Our International Family Reunion We recently hosted a family reunion at Pat Busch Mountain Reserve in Robertson, bringing together 60 family members from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. We were there from 23–28 December 2025, and it could not have been a more perfect setting for such a special gathering. The reserve offered ample space for everyone to come together comfortably, while still allowing each family their own breathing room. We never once felt crowded, yet it was effortless to gather as a group whenever we wanted to. The accommodation was excellent—clean, comfortable, and ideally suited to a group of our size and diversity. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the outstanding staff. They went above and beyond for us throughout our stay, always helpful, always friendly, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. Our entire family left with full hearts and unforgettable memories. We cannot recommend Pat Busch Mountain Reserve highly enough for anyone planning a reunion, celebration, or group getaway.
