On the whole I enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was fantastic. The wedding venue itself was lovely and the manor house was beautiful. It would have been a great stay had we slept there. Unfortunately, we stayed in the chalet (number 4) and it was very much a letdown. The door would stick so that we fought for five minutes to unlock and lock it. The main room stank of some kind of cleaning fluid which made me want to gag (I assume it was from something they had tried to use to clean the rug). The bathroom was also very dirty and there were brown marks all over the basin and counters which could have been washed away by cleaning staff with water. The mattress was very uncomfortable as well. Overall I was extremely disappointed with the chalet itself. I also didn't understand how we were supposed to be able to use the dining table without dismantling the entire room which can't be expected of guests who could potentially not be able to lift a heavy wooden table by themselves. I recommend the manor house and the view. I do not recommend the chalets.

We had our Wedding at Sea Trader and I want to warn any couple that potentially want to have their dream day there that it might not turn out to be your “dream wedding” - We already posted a review but based on the response thereon I am left with no option to reply on the owners’ response. - Management is absolutely shocking. The owners are rude and unprofessional with extremely bad attitudes. Contrary to their response their communication was poor and abrupt. When we raised concerns it was blatantly ignored. The one mistake we had made was to not read the reviews by previous clients/guests. Had we done that we wouldn’t have used this facility at all. I encourage potential clients to please read the reviews in order to make an informed decision whether to use this facility. We had a package with Sea Trader that included the wedding planner (preferred by them in Tying Knots) The flowers that were used were absolutely shocking. It was wilted and even the bouquet of my wife was a disaster. Attempts to rectify were made after numerous phone calls from me and my family. After advising them that we would raise our dismay in the media etc they eventually agreed to try and rectify some of the flower issues. They started off by adding Daisies to a wedding bouquet after they took out the white roses. Absolutely ridiculous. When the issue was brought up Corene said it was up to standard for them so it is a very low standard and we feel obliged to mention this to potential clients. (See pics attached of their “Up to standard”) - We bought wine from their preferred vendor that we kept at the bar for the guests. When I saw our guests starting to buy wine I asked why and the barman told me the wine is finished. When we went there the next morning to fetch our wedding cake etc we managed to get 7 bottles of wine hidden behind other stuff in the fridge with our labels on it. See review response re my wife’s review and find follow up below. - Prior arrangements were made and asked for an early check-in to both Corene and Dries and was only the manor house (messages as proof). None of the other guests arrived before the afternoon. - If we were not charged why do I have invoices for the extra stuff? - Please get your facts together as I have evidence that I am more than willing to share publicly.

I had my wedding here on 14th February and it was not at all how I envisaged the day going. The Manor House and grounds are lovely but the management is poor. There was no electricity the day before and morning of the wedding and our only option was to pay extra to use the generator. There was also no water the morning of the wedding, as the water pump needed power. All we were told by them is that it was out of their control. We had taken a wedding package with the venue and had to use their designated wedding coordinator which I will write about below but sadly due to the stress caused by multiple issues on the day and the poor communication from the venue and Tying knots the wedding coordinator I would not recommend either (and should have paid more attention to previous reviews). Tying knots Very disappointed with the service from Cindy & Tying knots used as a part of a wedding package with the Sea Trader venue. Besides being late to every appointment (online and the rehearsal the day before wedding) and showing an apparent lack of interest in arrangements, on the actual wedding day there were numerous issues that happened that the groom's family had to sort out which was extremely stressful (Cindy was not there, 2 members of her team were). The flowers in my bouquet and arches were wilted as they had been picked 4 days before the wedding - absolutely shocking to be handed these and completely unacceptable. They looked awful on the arch but weren't even as bad as the half dead roses I was given for my bouquet (white roses had been chosen and paid for) 🥲 Additional decor items we had ordered and paid extra for were not put out how we requested, with zero effort to try and make things look nice. A simple request of having sand in display candles was not sorted, despite the venue being at the beach! I regret not having a walk around the venue in the morning myself and picking up these things earlier. What should have been a day of celebration with family and friends was a disaster, with the groom's family having to rectify all the issues that were presented to us. It was not all what I expected and paid for and am disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the company.

We were blessed to spend the weekend at The Seatrader. The venue, the staff and the owner were amazing and really helped us to create our perfect wedding day, even when the weather didn't always play along. Will definitely recommend. Stunning, view, amazing accommodation and we couldn't ask for better venue.
