We took advantage of the Valentines special and ended up booking a wedding venue! This place is beautiful! The rooms are really nice. The bed was made up with flowers and wine for our arrival, which was super cute! The heated pool is great, but a bit warm for summer, luckily you're right on the bay and can cool off in the sea. The food is incredible! We've since had a few meals there and every time the food is great! We chose them as a wedding venue because we know our guests are going to have the best food! Plus you're literally in Oyster and Mussel central!

Beautiful place to stay, but just be aware! They require R1000 deposit and then advise that it will take 7 to 10 days to refund. We then had the experience of them sending a proof of payment, which didnt reflect in our bank account. On querying they said they had paid it into the wrong account- which really has nothing to do with us. They should immediately do a correct deposit amd sort out their own administrative errors. Will keep you posted on how this progresses. Progress update: the establishment has the cheek to now say i need to wait until their director can authorise the correct payment.....next week! Really!!!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Lodge to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary and we can only say how fantastic our stay was. A huge thank you to Byron, Elethu and the team. First off, we had just booked in when we were informed that our room had been upgraded. What a pleasure. It was the honeymoon suite with an amazing view of the ocean, with both a bath and a shower and all the trimmings. We had delicious meals there, both supper and breakfast on the 2 days we were there. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome & comfortable and we can't wait to go back !

Stayed here for the long weekend and we really enjoyed the resorts activities, views and accomodation. The only downside for me personally was the red dust that affected my skin, breathing at night and sinusitis. I have a sensitive chest and could not sleep properly through the night as I kept smelling this dust and when I googled it on my first night during the night I discovered the problem in the area. Never knew this existed but it had an negative affect on my breathing. I am disappointed that it was the case because I can honestly say the resort is absolutely lovely, beautiful and so wonderful to stay at but for me I experienced this side effect of the dust and right jow my eyes are still sore. We swam in the heated pool and it was lovely. We played tennis, table tennis and darts. We found the resort to be safe and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the Saturday morning. There was only 3 of us that this dust affected whilst the other 14 family members had no serious issues with it. Our room I think had a ceiling and roof that caused the dust to settle easily (A7), as Ibsaw dust against the skirtings, whilst the other cottages had double storey floors that protected their rooms and that is my take on it. I would like to visit the resort again but not sure if I can due to my health. My chest took 6 to 8 hours to rec9ver after qe got home amd for me I immediately felt the difference in the type of air I was breathing when I got home.
