About De Meye Wine Estate

The De Meye Wine Estate is a family-owned boutique winery, situated in the lush Muldersvlei area in the Stellenbosch Winelands.

15 km from Stellenbosch and 45 km from the centre of Cape Town. This special little spot of earth has been home and farming ground to the Myburgh family for five generations. We believe that beauty and elegance lies in simplicity and authenticity. We offer a space in which you and your guests may come and relax in the country, set amongst vineyards and oaks. Your reception at De Meye, with its rustic charm, will surely be one to remember. It is the ideal blank canvas against which to plan and create a unique event. The décor is contemporary with a nod to yesteryear, with old brick walls, cement floor and pitched roof with exposed Oregon pine beams.

Had such a beautiful Valentines Day experience at De Meye. It was open later than usual. Beautiful setup, friendly staff (Patricia), delicious cheese board & super good Chenin Blanc.

Beautiful venue. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are many hidden costs. The venue coordinator was not transparent. I had a problem with accommodation with guests and many of them had to be moved to a different accommodation, this happened a week before the wedding. We had paid the deposit, a few months in advance and it was communicated that it was secured. I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

Our wedding was amazing at DeMeye. The staff working on that day were amazing! It was the perfect day. However, communication and planning in advance was really not a great experience and very stressful due to the venue manager. Things said during our first visit to the venue that were included in the venue suddenly cost something (cushions for outside the fire pit suddenly cost R2500 - you can get small cushions for R45 at sitting pretty). Communication via email was horrendous and it felt all over the place. We were told to rent more outside furniture because otherwise the harvest table area would look „ugly". No not doing that sorry, it's my wedding not yours. All in all on the day it was absolutely perfect and the venue is beautiful. But planning was terrible. Posten
