We had the most beautiful family weekend celebrating a birthday with walks, fireside reading and fabulous views. Crystal, Louise and the team were welcoming hosts and made us feel special with extra treats. Highly recommended for a get-away and we'd like to visit again for a big sleep-over party with many friends.

Quite disappointed with this stay. We were hoping for a charming period property in the winelands and when we arrived we were quite surprised with the condition. The property is tired and needs a lot of work. It was really quite dirty. We could tell it used to be a nice place with some charm, but in all honesty it seems to have gone downhill and is really unkept now. I would not recommend and if you’re thinking of staying I would read a few of the more recent reviews and think twice.

A wonderful winter getaway! Everything we needed or could think of was provided by the attentive staff. Loved spending my birthday weekend in such a beautiful, peaceful place.

The hotel is charming and remote and have a lot of history, but unfortunately not the best maintenance. Some of the furniture was broken, the pool looked dirty, the rooms don't have a safe and unfortunately two of my clients staying there were robbed. I tried to call police and all but nothing was done. We had to follow the tour program and left it as is.
