About Melkboomsdrift Guest House

Melkboomsdrift Lodge is a welcome and convenient stopover for business people and tourists between Cape Town and Namibia or Upington on the N7.

It is situated between Vredendal and Lutzville just off the N7 on the R363. On your arrival at Melkboomsdrift, you will be received by the friendly personnel who will gladly treat you to a private wine tasting on this beautiful working wine farm producing boutique wines. Each suite at the lodge has been lovingly restored and decorated in a uniquely distinctive style. We also have a selection of suites on the same property that are 200 meters away from the main lodge alongside the river. Each suite and self-catering unit is equipped with a fully stocked bar fridge for your convenience. Coffee and tea facilities are available as well and also fresh homemade rusks! Televisions are standard in all suites and include all local channels as well as MNet and DSat. The cottages include private gardens with BBQ facilities for each. The units are fully equipped for self catering and include fresh linen and all of the above. Upgraded and larger conference facilities have recently been completed at Melkboomsdrift. Our recent visit to Melkboomsdrift Lodge was extremely enjoyable but just too short! The staff is friendly and helful and the breakfast was delicious. Relaxing in the peaceful setting with cry of the fish eagle in the background is food for the soul. We will be back...

Rating should be a 10. We had a wonderful stay! The décor is beautiful, with charming touches like chandeliers. Everything was spotless, from the neatly folded towels to the crisp, fresh bedding. I really appreciated the bodywash provided in a lovely container—especially since I had forgotten mine. It was so easy to stay here with our pet, which made things even more relaxing. The view of the river is peaceful and the lawn is beautifully maintained. What truly stood out was the service: despite booking just a minute before arrival at 18:30 on a Saturday, the manager welcomed us without hesitation. He even remembered to switch on the geyser—without us asking and offered us breakfast. The mini fridge was thoughtfully stocked, and the free Wi-Fi was a great touch. All in all, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Weskus wees kinders
