Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway (15km from Rawsonville) is situated between beautiful mountains, orchards and vineyards and provides a breath-taking setting for your fairy tale wedding – situated only 105 km from Cape Town International Airport.

The main wedding venue can accommodate up to 200 guests, depending on the table layout and dancing area. All the doors of the venue open 180 degrees, providing the opportunity to bring the beautiful outdoor surroundings inside, hosting a lovely Country Wedding with old town hospitality and charm. The dance floor next to the venue is a popular choice for the young at heart. What a beautiful place in the most picturesque setting! Half of us stayed in a cottage and the other half stayed in a pod and they were both fabulous. The beds were so comfortable and both units had everything we needed. The wood fired hot tubs were perfect on the chilly evenings. Lovely staff! I really can’t fault Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway and looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely gorgeous spot cannot fault the location. The cottages were nice and the air-con was helpful we stayed in Tant Sarie which was very nice and felt private. Cons: If you’re here for TROUT fishing then this is NOT the place even though the name suggests it. Very noisy by the cottages I'm sure the campsites would be a bit more tranquil we do understand that its a working farm but being woken up by land mover trucks in the morning wasn’t the best experience. Would recommend this place any-day one of the best getaway locations I've been to will be back soon for camping !

Absolutely beautiful as always, I've never slept so well in my life! This is our second visit and we will definitely be back 🙂 Rooms only rated 4 stars as shower had black mold and could do with a little tlc and a sponge would be nice, washing our dishes with a cloth was a bit of a mission for pots etc, also our cloth looked disgusting after 4 days, as it was used for dishes and the counters. So either 2 cloths or a dish sponge would be great. Other than that it is the most perfect most beautiful place ever to stay and disconnect from the city life. We found a beautiful hike to do as well. Highly recommend 🙂

A wonderful 3 nights on campsite 7. Beautiful views, refreshing river, rustic but adequate ablutions and delicious meal at the restaurant. Constructive criticism ...... it would have been nice if the slab had been swept before arrival and if the braai coals were removed daily. The stairs and stair rail to the ablution need attention. But, all in all, a great stay.
