Beautiful old school hotel in the zuurberg mountains. Only a few kilometres from addo elephant park. Breathtaking views from most locations at the hotel. The R335 from addo side is approx 17km of well maintained gravel road. If approaching from the Bracefield side of the R335 please not the route is 4x4 only, but stunning route through the zuurberg mountains.

We had marvellous time at the Zuurberg Mountain Village Hotel, the service very special. They are welcoming, take good care of you in every way. The view and surroundings are absolutely amazing!

We had a lovely stay here. Ok, the last 16 km on a fairly poor dirt road is the only little drawback, but that's part of the African experience. All the staff were excellent, polite and very helpful. We booked a game drive to Addo and that was fantastic too. Excellent driver / guide with superb wildlife knowledge, and they had a super breakfast set up for us at Jack's picnic site. Half day's excursion is plenty. The pool and grounds by the chalets are nicely kept. The buffet food was plentiful and very decent fare. Good selection of wines and other drinks available too. Rooms were spacious and clean, no issues. Hot water is available at set times. There's also a 3km hike for those with energy.

The hotel itself exudes class and elegance, from the stunning candlelit dinners to the serene breakfast experience on the terrace, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The kitchen team deserves the highest praise—every meal was homemade, traditional, and bursting with freshness. You can taste the love and dedication in every bite! The cottage rooms were perfect—cozy, comfortable, and full of charm. But what truly stole our hearts were the beautifully maintained gardens. They add an extra layer of tranquility and make the entire experience even more special. A special thank you to the incredible team for saving us when we arrived late in the evening with no petrol—your kindness and hospitality will never be forgotten.
