Absolutely great experience. We were living in a pod with a friend. You are alone with nature in the middle of Savana. Amazing views around, quietness, marvelous nature. Also a hot tube to have bath outside. Every morning and evening there are safari rides. We saw rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, cheetahs. Our guide Martin was just the best. And other staff were very friendly too. I would totally recommend to anybody searching for a safari place.

We spent a full week at Mount Camdeboo Game Park Reserve and honestly had the best time imaginable. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. From the incredibly warm and caring staff to the delicious food, right through to the game drives – every detail felt special. We were lucky enough to see an amazing variety of wildlife, and a huge part of that was thanks to our ranger Marten. He took such wonderful care of us throughout the week and managed to show us new highlights every single day. His knowledge of nature and wildlife is truly impressive, and we will keep these amazing memories with us forever. The entire team made us feel so welcome and genuinely looked after. It truly felt like being at home with family rather than staying at a lodge. A special mention goes to Tabs, the Hospitality Manager, who made sure we felt comfortable at all times and helped create such a warm and relaxed atmosphere. An Unforgettable Stay at Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve We had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Pod at Mount Camdeboo for two nights to celebrate my birthday — and what an unforgettable experience it was! The team went above and beyond to make the celebration special, even surprising me with the most incredible birthday cake. Their effort and attention to detail truly made me feel valued and spoiled. The food throughout our stay was phenomenal — every meal, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, was delicious and beautifully presented. A real highlight was the hearty oxtail stew served one evening — absolutely out of this world! The game drives with our guide Luke were both informative and adventurous. We were lucky enough to have sightings of both lions and elephants, which made the experience all the more thrilling. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the shower in the pod — the temperature control was a bit off, switching between steaming hot and ice cold. But honestly, that minor inconvenience did very little to dampen what was otherwise an incredible stay. Highly recommend Mount Camdeboo to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable safari experience!

An unforgettable place. We stayed for three nights in Pod 2 and absolutely loved our time there. The warm welcome, tasty food, incredible landscape, and sightings of all the Big Five, made it very difficult to return to reality. Colin was a fantastic guide, ranger, and conversationalist on our (mostly private) game drives. We would have stayed all week if we could! Mount Camdeboo is certainly not as accessible as other reserves in the Eastern Cape, but it more than makes up for it with stunning views and hospitality. Hope to return one day!
