We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Fort D' Acre, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The venue itself is nestled in a stunning bush setting, providing a picturesque backdrop for our special day. One thing that really stood out to us was the lodge on the property, where we got ready. With its magnificent view and all the amenities we needed, it was the perfect place to prepare for the day ahead. Waking up to an amazing sunrise and grazing impala allows one to truly immerse in the beauty of nature. For the ceremony there are options from a beach view to a bush view, the choice is yours. The barn for the reception was another highlight. It provided a versatile space that could be uniquely transformed to reflect our vision for the day. From elegant to rustic, the options were endless, allowing us to create a reception that was truly our own. Overall, our experience at Fort D' Acre was nothing short of magical. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue that combines natural beauty with exceptional service.

This lodge is a very special place! It’s situated on a prestige game reserve along side the Great Fish River. The scenery is breathtaking and the beaches are untouched. The services offered by the management and staff is 5 star. I would highly recommend staying a minimum of 3 to 4 nights here. There are loads of activities available locally. One can go horse back riding, play golf, visit Port Alfred. Definitely do the game drives and see the abundance of wildlife and diversity of habitats. Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay.
