A Peaceful Oasis Hotel Near the Airport With a Restaurant Worth the Trip This hotel sits in a genuinely ideal location, just 15 minutes from the airport (25 during peak hours), yet somehow you’d never guess it. No aircraft noise overhead, no sense of being near a busy transit hub at all. It’s a small oasis, with every room offering a choice of shower or bathtub, plus a lovely private balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the beautifully maintained garden at the heart of the property. I’ve stayed here three times during my travels through Africa, and security has always been excellent. I felt completely safe throughout my stays. The real surprise, though, is the restaurant. The food is top quality across the board: whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly cooked steak, fresh seafood, a crisp salad, or a good glass of wine, everything arrives fresh and absolutely delicious. Dining here, paired with the wine selection, is an experience in itself. The staff, both in the hotel and the restaurant are attentive and genuinely care about guest comfort. You’ll likely cross paths with one of the managers, Fortunate, whose team goes out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. There’s also a bar next to the restaurant, and at least three fireplaces scattered across the restaurant and bar areas, adding a warm, special touch that makes the whole stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, secure retreat with genuinely excellent food.

We recently celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make the occasion special. From the warm welcome to the attentive service throughout the evening, everything was handled with genuine care and professionalism. They made us feel like VIP guests. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and enjoyed by everyone at the table. The atmosphere was just right for a celebration: lively yet intimate, creating the perfect setting for such a meaningful occasion. A big thank you to the entire team for helping us create such a memorable night. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion—you won’t be disappointed!

We had a very special dinner last night. As you drive in the gate you are met by a beautiful chateau in the middle of Boksburg. Chris hosted us as if we were Kings. Felix and the team were sublime with service and care. We had a samosa starter and opened an incredible red wine from a long menu. Mains consisted of a spread of aged ribeye, carpaccio, sweet bread, delicious peppers, creamy mash and sweet potatoes. All organic and pasture reared which elevates the taste by 50%. The Smokey Chimmichuri was a show stopper. The hotel has 4 stars but for me the restaurant is a 5 star. Chris’s knowledge on food and wine show that this is not a business only but a purpose and passion. Book as seats are limited.

We had a fantastic experience at Afrique Boutique Hotel. Our conference was exceptionally well set up, with a reliable projector, great bites, and excellent coffee throughout the day. Dinner was a real highlight — the quality of the meats was outstanding, beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The staff truly made the experience special: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, always willing to assist and anticipating our needs. The rooms are thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need, and the bedding is luxurious, ensuring a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed a relaxing swim and excellent wine, all thanks to the wonderful team. A perfect balance of professionalism, comfort, and hospitality — we would happily return and highly recommend it for both business and leisure stays.
