had such a beautiful experience at Amadwala Lodge. The place is absolutely stunning , from the natural surroundings to the peaceful atmosphere, it truly feels like a hidden escape from the busy world. The scenery is breathtaking and perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature. The service was great, and the staff made the stay even more enjoyable with their welcoming and friendly attitude...The manager is also thoughtful and very polite,Everything felt well taken care of, and the overall environment was calm, clean, and refreshing. It’s definitely the kind of place you go to unwind, reflect, and just enjoy quiet moments. I would highly recommend Amadwala Lodge for a peaceful getaway or even just a day visit. I absolutely enjoyed my stay! The place is a beautiful tranquil getaway. The environment is scenic and refreshing, a total Gem! It is surrounded by nature “ a place of rock “ indeed! The staff is friendly and competent. Valentine waited on us and was professional and competent in his delivery. We enjoyed the service offered at the bar and pool area, as well as the Boma. I love that Amadwala is conveniently located, and one can extend the scenic views by visiting the nearby Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. I would recommend Amadwala Lodge without any hesitation!

WE can’t believe this is rated as a 3-star hotel. Please be aware before booking. When we arrived, the road from the grate to the parking area was in very poor condition. We had to wait for the receptionist, although he was friendly and helpful when he assisted us and showed us to our three en-suite safari tents. Unfortunately, what looked beautiful in the photos was very disappointing in reality. We had a function to attend, so we quickly went to shower—and that’s when the problems started: The bathroom carpet was loose and wet. I tripped over it and nearly hit my head on the basin. The shower and tent roof were full of mold. The shower head was broken, and the water pressure was so harsh . The tent was extremely hot with no fan The lighting was poor, and bedside lamps need replacing. When we returned after 11pm, we had to wait a long time for security to open the gate. Then things got even worse: The bedding was in terrible condition—torn, with burn marks and stains. Some duvets were feather-filled, which can cause allergies, and the feathers were clumped together. Despite rules about noise, it was loud throughout the entire night. We got no sleep at all. At 2am, we called reception to ask them to address the noise. Unfortunately, this made things worse. The noise increased, with people playing loud music from a car. Around 4am it finally quieted down, but then animals (a donkey and barking dogs) kept us awake. In the end, I had to wake my twins and leave early. For the price we paid, this experience was absolutely not worth it. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The property urgently needs upgrades and proper maintenance—or at the very least, the pricing should reflect the actual standard.

Delayed post : hosted my daughter's 21st there in Jan 2026 it was the best and stunning setup. The staff were extremely kind and very helpful. We recieved a few shooters on the house" ,thanks to the owner himself, " I will definitely recommend for your next private personal event. Thank you Itumeleng and your team..There is nothing to complaint about..
