What an amazing venue! We had our little boy's birthday there, and from start to finish the experience was great! Thank you Joanne for assisting with everything, the arrangements, the tables, the food (Pizza is amazing!!!) I will do all our events and parties there from now on. The venue is stunning, it felt like we were in a different country, the staff was so friendly and helpful! Thank you, thank you!!!

On arrival, we were left for almost 10 to 12 minutes without being given menus. (It was quiet and only 2 other tables had people). I had to look for her to ask her. I saw her coming with side plates and cutlery. I asked her- how can you be bringing these, when we haven’t even seen the menu as yet? She kept quiet. The outside glass table was empty, so I asked her to put a table cloth. She said "I will go look for one”- is there no table cloths? She then brought it and wanted to put it on the dirty table, and one of my friends said no, please wipe the table. She then brought 5 drinks and we all waited as she forgot one drink. She disappeared forever, whilst we were all waiting to toast as there was one drink short! She arrived over 10 minutes later. Once we ate, she popped in and left and we never saw her again. I had to go and find her (Again!) to get the bill. You have a beautiful venue, but the lady who served us was slow, clueless and very uninterested. I hope that she can be taught the right way to be a waitress. I shared this review 4 days ago and received zero response.

Went as a day visit Really pretty ,calm and relaxed environment. Everyone was really welcoming. The kids had loads of fun playing on the jumping castle and jungle gym as well as walking through the maze and picnicking.

The Chartwell Castle Venue was just ok. Met with friends at the venue and shared a meal. The food options are average, although I doubt most people visit for the food. The gardens are lovely, although not well manicured. The potential for this to be a "go-to" place for friends and family is missed by the owner. Opportunity exists, yet mismanaged. If you looking for a venue to host a get-together or party, there are better venues. The castle is redeemed by the historical attraction of the structure and that it is child friendly.
