A Truly Magical Wedding Venue – Perfection in Every Detail. If you’re looking for the very best South Africa has to offer, Lezar is simply unmatched. From the pristine farm setting to the elegant halls, the exquisite food, and every carefully considered detail – big and small – this venue delivers excellence at every turn. This is our second wedding at Lezar: we celebrated our own there 25 years ago, and now, our daughter’s wedding will be held on the same beautiful, stylish, elegant, yet wonderfully rural and idyllic farm. It feels like coming home to a place where memories live forever. The scenery is breathtaking – rolling landscapes, peaceful water features, and the gentle charm of horses, geese, and cattle that seem to share in the celebration with their neighing, cackling, and braying. It all adds to the magic of the day in the most authentic way. A special mention must go to the incredible hosts, Willemien & Heleen, whose warmth, professionalism, and passion make every moment unforgettable. Their attention to detail and dedication ensures that each wedding is not only beautiful, but deeply meaningful. If you want a venue that blends luxury with nature, elegance with farm-style charm, and impeccable service with heartfelt hospitality – Lezar is the place where dream weddings become reality. Highly, highly recommended.

I loathe gravel roads to wedding places, but the wedding people makes up for the difference. I am glad for the wedding couple Ernest (Jr.) and Landi who hosted a wonderful evening. I pray them best for their future.

Just a comment on the equestrian facility- At first glance, everything appears beautiful and well-kept. However, anyone with a deeper understanding of equine behavior will quickly notice signs of boredom, stress, and frustration in the horses. During my visit, not once did I see the horses turned out. Even if they were, their individual paddocks are only marginally larger than the small stables they’re confined to—and there aren’t nearly enough paddocks for the number of horses present. They all showed signs like crib sucking, swaying, weaving, teeth grinding, biting people, scratching stable doors and tense furrowed eyebrows On top of that, many wore heavy padded wedge shoes with restrictive metal bands. Thats a whole different story. I assume these are Saddle Seat show horses, and I understand that discipline comes with certain traditions and standards. But perhaps it’s time to reconsider some of those practices. Horses are still living beings with natural instincts and needs. to graze, to move freely, and to interact with others.
