The Blades wedding venue in greater Pretoria, Gauteng, has a unique style and feel to it and is perfect for a countryside, gentle bushveld or waterfront wedding and will capture the spirit of love, happiness and celebration on your wedding day.

The wedding ceremony can be held on our manicured lawns overlooking the Roodeplaat Dam, the temple or in our natural bush. The reception can be held in one of the three banqueting halls. We are able to cater for both large and more intimate weddings. Our neutral, warm interiors can accommodate any wedding theme or color scheme. Light filters through panoramic windows offering views of both the water and the surrounding scenery. Breathtaking natural surroundings offer an ideal setting for wedding photography to capture those everlasting memories. To ensure that your wedding banquet is truly memorable we will graciously accommodate all your needs and requirements and will assist you in every possible way. Our experienced coordinators will extend their support, advice and attention to detail to all aspects of your wedding. Our dedicated team of chefs will create a feast to perfectly enhance your unique experience at The Blades. We pride ourselves in meeting your individual requests, be they plated or buffet-style. A bridal suite caters for the bridal party’s pre-wedding preparations. Our comfortable executive room doubles up as a honeymoon haven. Chilled champagne and chocolates await you, whilst in winter one can cozy up before a roaring log fire. Wedding packages include venue hire, food, service and accommodation. Details of costs and packages can be discussed with our coordinators. The Blades is also a popular option for Gauteng weddings, for its convenient location in Dinokeng, easily accessible from Pretoria and Johannesburg.

We had the most incredible stay at The Blades this past weekend! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel so welcome. Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and the perfect place to unwind. The food deserves a special mention, absolutely exceptional. Every meal was delicious, and compliments to the chef! Chef’s kiss. It was clear that so much care went into every dish. One of my favourite touches was returning to our room each evening to find the fireplace lit and crackling. It created such a cosy, luxurious atmosphere and made our stay feel incredibly special. Every detail contributed to an experience that was both relaxing and unforgettable. The only suggestion I have would be to expand the vegetarian options on the menu. While the food we had was outstanding, having a few more vegetarian choices would make the dining experience even better for guests with different dietary preferences. Thank you to the entire team at The Blades for such an exquisite getaway. We can’t wait to return!

It was a memorable experience at The Blades. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious. The chef prepared the most delicious meals and the staff are all exceptional. So friendly and helpful. Befitting an establishment like The Blades. We were treated like royalty! The conference facilities were also tip top. Definitely easy to recommend as a must-visit destination.

The Blades is a perfect getaway for the weekend. Quiet rooms with lovely views and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We did a 3km walk with Rooibok and a variety of bird sightings. The food was sublime, can recommended the fillet steak, the roquefort sauce and the livers starter is a must! A special mention to Pretty and Witness for their service. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! Will definately be back.

The place is so beautiful, tbe staff is very professional and welcoming. From the day we called to make reservations the receptionist was so friendly, patient and answered all questions in detail. The restaurant staff is so professional and smiles all the time.. the food is excellent. Proper rooms with a beautiful view. A nice place to relax, reset and connect with nature. Loved the experience ❤️❤️ special thanks to the kind staff
