Attended my partners friend wedding here, this place is not visible from the main road that is so close to. It has breathtaking views 😍, lovely evergreen garden (mini-maze garden too). It's missing a swimming pool only.

Fantastic venue Wouldn't say you're in thd city

This is a beautiful venue in an old terraced English garden. I attended a midday wedding there that extended into the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, the décor beautiful (with lots of input from the bride, of course) and the staff well turned out and helpful. I will say that for the amount of people the venue can hold, the parking is inadequate, so the guests at a larger function will have to park on the street and walk. I will certainly look to see if they hold high teas, though, because it would be wonderful to spend an afternoon in this beautiful garden.

My husband and I held our September wedding at The View. It was the first venue we viewed and took it immediately. The venue does not have a hall but a large covered patio for about 150 people. We opted to pitch a marquee on the beautiful lawn for 240 people including buffet stations. The price was inline with the market prices for venues in Johannesburg (not including marquee). It has an old British style that is well maintained. My bridesmaids and I spent the whole morning in a room getting ready and it was very comfortable. There is a generator for loadshedding. The kitchen has all necessary equipment and the bathrooms are clean and have Muslim facilities. Parking is a bit tight but there is excess parking down the road and the venue can provide someone to manage it. It was always easy to communicate with the manager and the staff were very helpful. No surcharges except for pitching of a marquee which gives you half a day before and after your function. We loved how central in Johannesburg the venue is as well as how tranquil it is despite being in the city. The beautiful gardens are where we took our wedding pictures. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a garden feel with lots of sunlight. The view of northern Johannesburg is absolutely beautiful and is the highlight of the venue.
