Who would believe this is a facility of joburg council. The repurposed place has fantastic architecture, service is good(I think not being in drab grungy offices makes a difference to peoples attitudes) and it's worth just taking a walk thru.parking is very limited

2017 - Went again for the Turbine Art Fair. Great time out. Sweet venue. Catering by the Forum also on par👌🏽 2018 - This year's Turbine Art Fair was a rainy affair. It was cool to see the backup organisation when it came to the band and catering. Food was good as usual and vibe was too. It was nice to find more multimedia artists showcase work. Attended one of the discussion sessions this year, well worth it.

Industrial heritage done with style. Turbine Hall’s restored spaces are gorgeous—steel, brick, and big volumes—often hosting exhibitions or events. Even a quick look at the architecture is worth it if you’re nearby. Newtown in general rewards an unhurried loop: public art, the Market Theatre, and solid coffee stops. It’s a good half-day when you want culture without the crowds.

The building looks surprisingly different inside. The customer service is acceptable. Very helpful & friendly.
