Beautiful venue for weddings, lovely well manicured gardens, beautiful and clean kitchen. Our privately sourced service providers, decor, food, music etc did not disappoint. We had a lovely celebration. Customer service and staff professionalism and attitude needs a lot of improvement. (I hope the suggestions that I made at the post event meeting I asked for will be taken into consideration in order to enhance the service and the experience) Access is a problem with delays at the entrance gate. On the day of the wedding reception there was a very long queue of cars coming in going all the way back to the main road obscuring cars wanting to exit During the planning stage, whilst trying to exit the venue, we were not informed that they will only allow one car at a time to go out.(On the previous time, the gate had been opened long enough for the 2 cars to go out) On a follow up visit, waiting at the gate to exit the property, after more than 10 minutes and 6 unanswered phone calls, the gate was finally opened. The gate came back and banged and damaged my car which was the second of the two cars exiting. After the incident, I parked outside the now closed gate and called to alert them of what had happened, 10 minutes later after a number of unanswered call. I left and simply sent them a WhatsApp message. The venue refused to take any responsibility. The claimed that I should have waited to see if the gate would close after the first car, The following time I went there I noticed that they had put up signs saying that only one car at a time can go through the gate. This is commendable👏🏾 Thank God, what happened to me will not happen now. I’d advise clients insist on pre inspection and post inspection of the facilities before and after the event, because post the event when the deposit must be refunded then a number of concerns are raised, like rivets on a toilet door were allegedly removed by a guest who was swinging on the toilet door???? They noticed 2 weeks after our event and after a subsequent wedding that the vanity table in the bridal suite had a yellow stain???How does it take more than 2 weeks, also after another function had taken place after us, that the cleaners noticed the stain. The bridal party that had used the facility after us could not have caused the stain, they said????

Value for Money, friendly staff and a beautiful garden makes this venue a quaint place for a garden wedding. Erica and her team are really phenomenal to work with they do all they have to do without you having to push them for it. On our wedding, we ran a little bit over time and the ladies afforded the opportunity to pack up our property after hours without charging us an extra cent than what they had qouted us. The ladies were really helpful and even borrowed us some of their property for us to carry our property with and return later. If you are looking for a picturesque venue for your wedding or even a conference Erica and her team at Avenue of Iris are a dial away.
