Extremely disappointing stay. We attended a private function at Bentley’s Country Lodge and booked a room for the night. The hall bathrooms already had a terrible smell, and our room was in a poor state — dirty floors, marked walls, and worn furniture. The worst part was the shower: a broken soap dispenser and broken fingernails from a previous guest still lying inside. Absolutely unacceptable. We were so uncomfortable that we left at 1am and drove back to Johannesburg. Definitely not the standard expected from a hospitality venue. I cannot recommend staying here.
