Stunning wedding venue. Perfect for an outdoor forest ceremony. The view of the dam at sunset was breathtaking and it was wonderful taking in the subtle sounds of nature all around. Venue owners brought in visitors to see the venue on the day of the wedding which was extremely unprofessional and unfair.

An amazing place to have a restful weekend. We stayed at the last cottage on the dam. Tranquil, quiet and relaxing. Cottage was clean and well stocked with all needed appliances and right on the waters edge. They even had cleaners that came in the morning to clean the cottage. Fished for trout and got to see some birdlife. Thank you an amazing weekend was had.

Bellwood is truly a hidden gem. I stumbled upon their website while searching for a holiday stay, and I’m so glad I did. We stayed in the chalet by the main house, which felt like stepping into a fairy tale. The chalet and the entire property were immaculately clean, well-maintained, and beautifully romantic. I’m already looking forward to coming back—next time, I’ll stay in the dam units. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Beyond the beauty of the establishment, the service was exceptional. We had to leave our previous hotel a day early due to a power outage, and we were hoping Bellwood could accommodate us for an extra night. Not only did they help us out, but they also allowed us to check in immediately so we could freshen up and charge our devices. Their hospitality really went above and beyond. Bellwood is perfectly located, with easy access to Mooi River, Howick, and the surrounding areas. It’s a perfect base for exploring the region, and I highly recommend.

Used Bellwood as my wedding venue. Wow, wow wow. I planned the wedding from the Netherlands and Keira was an absolute dream to work with. So friendly, reassuring, helpful and so incredibly efficient. Leading up to and also on the day. Janine was also a star throughout the weekend, supporting and riding us around offering her help wherever possible. The forest chapel is gorgeous and reception hall and lawns overlooking the lake are to die for. This venue offers everything, with great accommodation, amazing vendors they partner with and are just the type of venue who will add to your experience and alleviate stress wherever possible. Every wedding is treated with love and care, and at no point did I feel like just a number to them. If you are considering them, then a 1000% go for it. It really will be your best decision!
