A wonderful dining experience with something for everyone. One of the standout features of the restaurant is the impressive variety of dishes on offer, making it a great choice whether you're visiting for a casual meal or one of their buffet services. The lunch and dinner buffets available on selected days provide an excellent selection, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. My personal favourite was the lamb curry, rich, flavourful and incredibly authentic. The meat was tender, the spices were perfectly balanced and every bite was a reminder of what a great curry should taste like. Combined with attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere, Coastlands Hotel Restaurant delivers a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure every guest felt comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and effortless, setting the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail—from the quality of the bedding to the layout of the space—added to a sense of calm and relaxation. I also appreciated how quiet the environment was; it made it easy to unwind after a long day. The hotel’s amenities were another highlight. The dining options were excellent, offering fresh, flavourful meals with great service. Shared areas like the lounge and outdoor spaces were well-maintained and inviting, creating a warm atmosphere where you could truly enjoy your time. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, exceptional service, and great value. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, enjoyable, and memorable stay. I’ll definitely return on my next visit.

Sits on top of the hill overlooking the Umhlanga "old" town. Rooms are large and comfortable, rates are reasonable. Excellent porter service from Timothy who went above and beyond. Concierge were accommodating and friendly. Access to the hotel is easy by car, with plenty of secure parking, and its a really short walk to Gateway shopping mall. Unfortunately, beach access is only by car. Conference facilities are outstanding and are housed within the building on the second floor. Was a pleasure stepping out my room and into the facility. There's a gym and a pool (I heard !). Restaurant provides all three meals if you want, and there's 24 hour room service. Overall has a definite value for money appeal, and has earned its four star rating. It's not the same feel as a beach hotel down in old Umhlanga, but looks and runs with the efficiency of a business-friendly hotel. Not to say I wouldn't stay here in December and children aren't welcome. There really isn't one thing missing, except for the beach.

Beautiful place, very neat and clean. Staff not so friendly and they took very long to help me with my 2 hr massage. I was waiting more than getting a massage within that 2 hours. It was very cold inside because of the aircons. It was a nice experience only they waiting periods were unexpectingly long.
