I attended the NYE event and I expected a more posh/prestige experience but it was ratchet. There were SO MANY under 18s there which is unfair to us who paid R230+, on top of entrance fees, you could pay 2k for a table (the tables were limited and very filthy when we got there). Management should’ve capped the number of people allowed at this event because people were standing shoulder to shoulder throughout the WHOLE of the rooftop. For an NYE event to be charging that much they should at least check IDs at the door. The actual restaurant has SO MUCH is potential because it’s so beautiful, I wish management would be more serious.

They have a chair that is tied to a seat. If you sit on it, the area to place things (drinks, food etc) moves sideways. Bad design, it happens. However, your management on duty, instead of offering to just replace the drinks that fell, just blamed us even though the bench itself flexes by itself. Sitting down, not softly caused on the area to sway enough to fell a drink. The cost of a drink to them is like R20 :/ But no, our fault, can't help. Its simple to just replace the items and have great service even in the failure of their seating... But no. I'd recommend the bar below them as their service is 10 fold better than this place. * I should add our group has spent over 30k this evening at this establishment and this is the service we get.

Near the Arch, a meeting point for tourists and businessmen (Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga nearby) - and those who would like to have some night life fun. Just be careful while having fun...
