About Avoca Vale Country Hotel.

The Avoca Vale Country Hotel lies nestled in the majestic Soutpansberg mountains just 11 km North of Louis Trichardt in South Africa’s renowned Limpopo province.

The hotel is characterised by its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere. The building that houses the reception and two dining rooms used to be a farmhouse in the early 1920’s. Over time ten modern rooms have been added to create a bouquet of six Garden View rooms overlooking the garden and pool, four Standard rooms, seven Family rooms and twenty-four brand new Deluxe Suites. All rooms, including the deluxe suites of the Hotel have been refurbished. Comfortable accommodation is the cornerstone of the Hotel. The Avoca Vale Country Hotel is a unique space where country living meets modern comfort. A perfect venue for a wedding, conference or private function, or simply to just get away. Facilities include a Restaurant, swimming pool, beautiful gardens and bar serving light meals.

Really loved this place very neat quiet deluxe rooms with no noise while closer to N1 probably sound proof windows. Lovely green gardens kids enjoyed pool, jumping castle and had great food juicy ribs, mixed grill, kiddies burger and milkshakes whole family loved. Definitely would be our favourite stop everytime we travel.

The is place had the worst service I have ever experienced. First thing when we made the booking, this place was advertised as “free breakfast” but somehow when we were about to get our breakfast, the free breakfast option was removed from the app (see attached screenshot of the free breakfast). The second thing the service was so poor, the somehow allocated an extra room to us , a group of 12, then somehow we were charged. It just all didn’t make sense, it felt like there was zero interface between booking.com and their service. It was such a frustrating situation to deal with and would not recommend solely on their service. Something was just totally off by how they dealt with the whole service situation. Everything felt like we just had booked on the spot and didn’t use booking.com. Another thing what happened is that they told us to rebook and when we did that after the first booking, the prices were now more expensive, an apartment for 12 people went from 13. 5k to 15.5k afterwards which was weird (please both screenshots attached of the same booking before and after we were told to cancel and rebook)

What a horrible experience!!! We were enticed to book by the promise of a free breakfast, only to be told right as we were about to order that it was not included. Secondly, although our booking was made via Booking.com, it did not reflect on their system upon arrival. Staff had to manually register us, during which they made an error and charged us for an extra room that we never used. Lastly, the showers are awful. The water constantly switches between hot and cold. Overall, a very disappointing stay. Book this place at your own risk.

Lovely country garden. Great place for a relaxed lunch, you can swim in the pool between 8-18:00 even if you are just there for the day. Nice choice of foods and drinks. Stunning mountain scenery.
