Booked there for an overnight stay as we were travelling from Zim with family. It was a first using the beitbridge border to Jhb route, so many delays. We arrived in Makhado very late, food outlets closed after driving around looking for something to eat (1st time in Makhado). Host Emiel kept in touch and made arrangements for us to still check in even after 11pm. Beautiful place as it revealed itself in the morning,epic views and lush green forest surrounding the farm and green well maintained gardens. Too bad it was only an overnight stay but will definitely be staying over here more!

Me,my husband and our 9months baby had a lovely weekend with friends at the Wildnut lodge. Is such a cozy environment, I just loved every bit of it. The lodge is very well maintained, has plenty of rooms for a nice family weekend. Outstanding service from all the staff, and what to say about the owner, Oupa, that made us feel just like home. We even took some pictures of our little baby at the beautiful garden of the lodge. I was amazed of how well taken care the place was. I definitely recommend it. Kindness and heart warming people. I would suggest this place for the exceptional service and cleanliness, for the amazing view and best quality-price location. I would like to highlight the fact that I never felt unsafe at the lodge, as the owner is 24h available for any little thing. We really enjoyed it and appreciate all of it.

What a nice stay, had the privilege to hunt there and I must say we had the most amazing experience. Professional service and staff is so helpful and friendly. Rooms are very neat and clean. Will definitely be coming back for more hunting trips
