The tranquil surroundings consist of 300Ha of rolling grasslands, forests, trout dams, and meadows with beautiful Friesian horses - providing endless photo opportunities. The Old Oak Brewery is the perfect venue for your Friday night “Meet and Greet” rehearsal dinner - with our unique craft beer and fully stocked bar. Ceremony and Reception - Choose your perfect ceremony location - enchanting forest chapel, or alongside a serene lake, or in our charming candle-lit chapel. Dance the night away under a magical canopy of fairy lights in our Reception Hall. Cozy indoor & outdoor fireplaces keep everyone warm. Menu - Indulge in mouth-watering plated cuisine: canapés, harvest table, starters, main course, decadent desserts, and midnight snacks! Luxurious en-suite accommodation on-site for 50 guests including a romantic Honeymoon Suite with a well-appointed Bridal Dressing room. Ample additional accommodation all within 5Km.

Our daughter got married at The Silver Sixpence Wedding Venue this past weekend, and what an absolutely incredible experience it was. The venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for such a special day. The staff were outstanding from start to finish. The people assisting with the photos were creative and professional, the meals were top class, and the flowers were prepared beautifully with so much attention to detail. Everything came together perfectly. This was my very first weekend wedding experience, and it exceeded every expectation. Thank you to everyone at The Silver Sixpence for making our daughter’s wedding unforgettable. We will treasure these memories forever.

Some of the best fly fishing on pristine waters, that is superbly managed by the owners. Excellent, comfortable accommodation. To be part of a wedding event at this venue is an honor and a true privilege.

We had our wedding at the Silver Sixpence in March. Words cannot describe how wonderful this venue truly is. The venue is beautiful, from the forest to the reception and also the accomodation. The venue is well thought out and gives a peaceful wedding experience. Lesley and her team is always on the ball. They are attentive and know exactly what they are doing when it comes to weddings. Every little detail is thought of and executed with precision. The food from their caterer Bevvie is outstanding and we are still receiving compliments about that. The atmosphere of this venue is great and I can highly recommend it to any bride looking for a venue that takes care of you like you are their only customer and if you are looking for a peaceful wedding the Silver Sixpence should be your go to spot.

Was there for a wedding recently and just wanted to say the setting is beautiful, the food and decor was similarly great. The staff were both friendly and efficient and the place is well maintained. Definitely worth a visit even if its just for a weekend breakaway.
