In 2017 an opportunity presented itself for Ecolux Boutique Hotel to expand across the border into Mozambique with the idea of creating a ‘BUSH TO BEACH’ experience for their guests. The best of both worlds, spending a few days in the Kruger National Park and Lowveld Region, followed by a short 2-hour drive across the border to Macaneta Beach Mozambique, to enjoy the unspoilt beach and the Ocean. Ecolux Boutique Hotel Mozambique opened in 2019 opening with 4 luxury rooms, 2 garden suites one of which is wheelchair friendly and 2 honeymoon suites, Spa and Restaurant. This beach hotel has its own design and character exhibiting beautiful local artworks, however, the commonality between the two hotels is the attention to detail and comfort found in both establishments. Macaneta Beach is an hour from the Capital Maputo if you want to explore the surrounding area, and the markets and get a taste of the local culture.
