We stayed at Mount High Luxury Country Estate and unfortunately our experience did not meet expectations. The description is somewhat misleading, as there is no catering or food service available at all. Only the converted horse stables are offered as accommodation, and they were extremely cold. The door was not sealed properly, so the wind blew straight into the apartment. The owner was friendly and communication was pleasant, and the property does offer beautiful views. However, the price is far too high for what you get, and the estate is not well located. Overall, we were disappointed and can only give 2 stars.

The old stable rooms are nicely renovated but were very cold at night. There is no proper heating and cold wind comes through the door which cannot be closed properly. The heating blanket worked well though. Because of a planned wedding the hotel could not offer us dinner and breakfast. We had to do self-catering in a cold room without windows and heating. The notice only came one day before we arrived, too late to cancel. The nature is beautiful but for the dirt road to this place an offroad vehicle is highly recommended.

First time at Mount High, absolutely incredible. We booked the main house and it was money well spent, to say the least. It was amazing. The staff were incredible, very friendly, always keen to have a good laugh and share a smile. Santie was an utterly amazing host, made us feel more than comfortable and made us wishing we had booked for longer. All I can say is that you will definitely see me back. I cannot wait for my next stay at Mount High. Thank you!

An amazing 3 days spent at Mount High! You are immediately welcomed by wonderful people and incredible views! The pristine stable rooms are each uniquely styled and finished, you wouldn't know it used to be a stable! I loved having my 1st cuppa in the courtyard with the horses and Sam the cat. Note, the horses and their stables are incredibly clean and well looked after by the friendly grooms, it was a pleasure to be around there. Chef Tippie was super with his interactive cooking demos and each meal was deliciously perfect! Santie is a fantastic hostess, unobtrusive yet always available making sure that everything was always perfect for us. From the Charlotte Rhys toiletries to the home made treats with coffee, Chilli sherry, log fires, no small thing is missing attention to detail. We loved every minute of our stay, well done and thank you to an incredible team!
