We had a wonderful stay at Rustic Fields Lodge in Middelburg. The property is peaceful, well maintained, and offers a lovely escape from the busy day-to-day routine. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing — perfect whether you’re travelling for business or just need a quiet break. The staff were friendly and professional, making the entire experience smooth from arrival to departure. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Middelburg — we will definitely return!

Food was delicious will definitely eat there again. The Chef was very helpful when I was upset and unease with the fact that there's no separate space for smokers and secure our table so there will be no smoking surrounding us. Otherwise the everthing was fine. It's surely a beautiful place......

Visited on a rainy day, muddy slippery routes that could damage your car. No activities beside fishing fans. Toilets are far from the lapa. Place doesn't feel safe for first time visitors.

Beautiful, nice, and peaceful I wish the new manager's luck Because my friends Marie and Irma don't work there anymore, sadly. 😢 The family business ends. Luckily sold to a responsible man.☺️ Seems like the new 2 managers are more interested in the bar. But I wish they could dress more cleanly. And answer the phone. But I understand they're struggling 😔 They are fixing up the place. It's good to hear that.
