We had a very unpleasant experience when obvious local residents.of this place took me on because I used the restaurants toilet while there was a "private function " we were not informed thar there was a private function and that we were not allowed to use the restaurant an public toilet facilities...this was VERY embarrassing and infuriating at the same time because we also paid to stay and use the facilities but was shunted as if the "regular" paying customers had more leverage.. Strange...because one would think that you want and need people from far to be interested in your place and not only local...

The owners are very rude and condecending to their staff and to the costomers. The lady who co owns with her husband is the worst. She speaks down to everyone as if she owns the world. The play area for children is also unsafe as there are thorns everywhere and some of the equipment is not firmly planted in the ground. The rooms however are the exception. They are always clean thanks to the wonderful ladies who clean it and the woman wo are in charge of them is just as good. You can see that she has a good relationship with all of the ladies she manages. Overall the stay was okay but the way the owners talk to people around them is disgusting.

We had a disappointing experience at Dassie Palace. Despite paying the R200 key deposit and having a valid booking, the owners unfairly restricted us from leaving the property with the keys, telling us we need to always drop the keys at the reception before going out. Moreover, their communication style was unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, the rooms are in dire need of renovation. Even if the staff improves their customer service skills, the subpar accommodations would still be a major issue. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to Dassie Palace due to these unacceptable experiences.

Apartments need to be upgraded( tiles on the floors are split, showers are falling apart cabinets are faulty, some of the bathroom doors are falling apart.) But, overall they are clean and neat. The swimming pool was sparkling. Really affordable for family visits. Apartments very wheelchair accessible. Not wheelchair friendly on the grounds. Struggling to get through the sand due to the many loose rocks and gravel Other than that we enjoyed it very much.
