I have a sweet spot for this place. It‘s a really nice lodge only 90 minutes from Joburg. They have amazing game on the farm including lots of genetically pure Sable you usually dont see. Their pricing is silly: Why charge game drives extra when everyone is coming to do gamedrives?? just be be upfront. Food is really good, and if you can, book the luxury rooms

If you are looking for somewhere to escape the rat race, this gem is for you. Wonderful setting, excellent service, and delicious meals made for a truly memorable time. The welcome and attention by the staff was amazing. NB to note that the gravel road to the resort is not all that friendly to non-SUVs

We had a wonderful stay! Amazing and friendly staff - willing to go the extra mile. Did so much to make our anniversary special! The food was amazing! Our recent stay at Thaba Khaya was nothing short of spectacular. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and eagerly anticipate future visits. From the outset, Robin provided exceptional service during the booking process and the warm welcome from the lodge staff upon arrival set a positive tone for our stay. The staff were consistently helpful and attentive throughout our visit. We were fortunate to share the weekend with other friendly and engaging guests, which created a family-like atmosphere. The culinary experience was outstanding, with the chefs delivering divine meals that greatly enhanced our stay. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the game driver, Cosmos. His expertise and engaging personality made the game drives truly memorable and his skillful commentary on the wildlife kept us captivated. Cosmos played a crucial role in making our experience at the lodge unforgettable.
