From the archives of October 9, 2025, when my husband and I visited Harties Cableway. We chose the two-seater cable car, and while it definitely gave us an adrenaline rush, we felt completely safe throughout the experience! The views from the cable car were absolutely breathtaking, giving us the perfect opportunity to take in the incredible natural beauty surrounding Hartbeespoort. After our ride, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the 360° Restaurant. My husband ordered the 'Lookout Breakfast', while I ordered the 'Bacon, Avo & Eggs Bagel'. 🥓 And can we take a moment to appreciate this beautiful cave-like setting? I completely fell in love with it! A little tip: Walk all the way to the end of the trail, and you'll be rewarded with one of the most spectacular views from the top of the Magaliesberg. 🖼️ The clear blue sky made the scenery even more unforgettable. We would highly recommend the two-seater cable car experience to anyone. Although it's a little more expensive than the standard cable car, it's an adventure you'll never forget. The final photo features the historic Triumphal Arch (also known as the Victory Arch), located on the Hartbeespoort Dam wall. See you again soon, Harties Cableway! 🚠

The cableway was a really fun experience and something a little different to do for the day. The wait wasn’t too long, and we enjoyed browsing the cute collectibles in the shop before heading up. The ride itself is fairly short but definitely worth experiencing. The trip back down was a little bumpy at first, but it quickly smoothed out. Once at the top, there are beautiful walking paths, restaurants, and some truly amazing views to take in. It wasn’t too crowded when we visited, which made it even more enjoyable. We also came across some friendly stray cats, which was a lovely surprise! There are activities for children, open lawn areas to relax in, and plenty of space to explore at your own pace. A special mention goes to The Lookout Deck—the food there was absolutely excellent and was one of the highlights of our visit. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique outing with fantastic views and good food.

The cable car was an awesome experience from start to finish. The ride itself was smooth and exciting, and the vibe at the top was absolutely immaculate — relaxed, lively, and perfect for taking in the moment. The food was really good for the price, which was a nice bonus. But the real highlight was definitely the scenic views — they were breathtaking and made the whole trip worth it. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great views, good food, and a great atmosphere.

The cableway is okay. The views of this place are spectacular and the trip up with the cable is breathtaking. Where things need drastic improvement is the restaurants. We wanted to order for and sit and enjoy the view but the drinks alone took 45 minutes with the waitress not caring at all. We ended up going up to the front to pay and leave after we waited another 30 minutes just to order food after our drinks came. At that rate we would’ve only eaten 2-3 hours after being seated.
