Leopard Lodge Hartbeespoort is one of those special places that immediately captures your attention. We stopped in for a light lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was fresh and enjoyable, the surroundings were relaxing, and the service was friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. What impressed me most was the venue itself. With its magnificent views and elegant atmosphere, it is easy to see why Leopard Lodge is such a popular wedding destination. It provides a beautiful and memorable setting for any special occasion. we went to stay for a night as it was close to my wedding venue when i called to ask for the (jacuzi ) the lady said yes its in 100 % working order. We booked the main house with the jacuzi and the swimming pool so that we can enjoy our stay ti the fullest . The place was dirty but the cleaner came to clean the place and she was very friendly . The manager was not friendly at all she could at least be friendly with us we went there to relax not be be walking on egg shells . this place won't see me again

Mixed experience. We stayed here for a friend's wedding as it was the easiest option. Chose the cheapest room (karee) however their cheapest was the most expensive place we stayed during our time in SA and it was also the most bare bones room. It was unfortunately not cleaned properly with a half eaten lozenge on the desk and sticky marks on the side table. There were no plates, bowls or cutlery so you couldn't even have cereal in the morning and there was no microwave - all things I would expect with a kitchenette. The room came with ONE hanger. Also no TV and keep in mind there is no wifi in the rooms - not the end of the world but good to know if you're travelling. Upsides were that the bed was very comfortable, pillows were decent, they have pools and braai areas and the views were gorgeous. My friend stayed in one of the big villas and those are absolutely stunning - just don't bother with the cheap rooms if you want a nice experience.

Our overall experience was terrible. We went to Leopards lodge in 17 Oct 2025, a day before my son got married at Red Ivory, a stunning place next to Leopards Lodge. So as we needed to be at Red Ivory at 7am the saturday morning, we decided to stay at Leopards lodge. We booked 5 months in advance, breakfast included. We were 6 women, bride-to-be was one of them. So this was meant to be a really special moment, a day before her wedding. Anyway at reception, no one was there, so we waited for about 5 minutes until someone arrived. I showed the receptionist our booking code, she said, "here is the amount due". I said i had paid already. She said nothing was showing on the system that it was paid for. So i showed her my whatsapps i made to leopards lodge, confirmation of payment received, as well as proof of payment. She said she would have to confirm with management. So we waited and waited. The receptionist came back and said "ok payment received, here are your keys" no appology whatsoever. Our house we booked had spectacular views of the dam, but the house was dirty, and only 4 towels given for 6 people. Jacuzzi didnt work, was cold too. A handyman came round after we phoned reception and he said the jacuzzi hasnt worked in ages. No wifi. No dstv to watch. Dozens of cds to watch, but no RCA cables connecting tv to cd player, so we couldnt even watch a cd. We asked reception for cables but no one came to bring them. Anyway, next morning for breakfast, we had breakfast, waited an hour for food, which was good though. Then the bill came. I said i had already paid fot my stay with breakfast included. Again we waited for confirmation of this from that same receptionist of the previous day. Service at this lodge is ridiculously pathetic, HoweverThe venue is beautiful, however you need a car to get to reception and restaurant, rooms are quite far to walk to. I would not recommend this place and we wont be back
